For the Subject Review Section of the present 76th Issue of “Endocrinologia Pediatrica on Line”, we have selected to include an interesting report recently published in Clinical Endocrinology, 2019; 91:237-244, entitled “Establishing reproductive potential and advances in fertility preservation techniques for XY individuals with differences in sex development” by Rumana Islam et al.

For the Bibliographic Review Section we have selected to comment on eight recent publications (see bibliographic citations in the respective Section), as follows: 1) Organ-Specific Gene Expression and Behavioral Alterations in Mice with Conditional Knockout of GR, MR, or Both GR and MR in the Hippocampus; 2) Adjuvant Radiation Improves Recurrence-Free Survival and Overall Survival in Adrenocortical Carcinoma; 3) Adrenal Steroids in Female Hypothyroid Neonates: Unraveling an Association Between Thyroid Hormones and Adrenal Remodeling; 4) Germline USP8 Mutation Associated With Pediatric Cushing Disease and Other Clinical Features: A New Syndrome; 5) Uterine Glucocorticoid Receptors are Critical for Fertility in Mice through Control of Embryo Implantation and Decidualization; 6) Sex Hormone Phenotypes in Young Girls and the Age at Pubertal Milestones. 7) Sexual Dimorphism of Microglia and Synapses in the cortex and hippocampus during mouse postnatal development; and 8) Deletion of the Cardiomyocyte Glucocorticoid Receptor Leads to Sexually Dimorphic Changes in Cardiac Gene Expression and Progression to Heart Failure.
